It's Not a Burden: The Humor and Heartache of Raising Elderly Parents with Michelle Boyaner

Episode Summary

As we have talked about before, caring for our elderly parents has some bad and good—love, frustration, tenderness, and the many channels. Since Michelle is going through this herself, she wanted to help others feel what she had been feeling, so she decided to create her new film “It's Not a Burden: The Humor and Heartache of Raising Elderly Parents”. On today’s episode, we talk about Michelle’s new film, what feelings inspired her to create it, and what she hopes to give back to the community.

Episode Notes

Episode 37: Michelle is an Emmy® nominated award-winning filmmaker whose documentary features have included “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson” and festival favorite, “A Finished Life: The Goodbye & No Regrets Tour” among others.

She's currently engaged in launching free community screenings for her new film, and “It's Not a Burden” is currently available on iTunes and whenever you rent or buy movies online.
